Maitland Picozzi is an Australian contemporary artist known for her large-scale acrylic paintings. Her works are influenced by interior design, fashion and modern aesthetics. She began publicly showing work in 2020 and has since built a diverse body of work, many of which have been exhibited and sold through galleries like The Gallery Peregian Beach in Queensland. Maitland is self-taught and creates from a studio space on the Sunshine Coast. In 2024 Maitland’s realism pieces were exhibited in the 40 Under 40 Art Prize at the Butter Factory Arts Centre in Cooroy and has recently had had one of her works feature on the cover of IN Noosa Magazine for their 2026 Autumn release. In addition to painting, Maitland has developed skills in wood turning and wood carving, further reflecting her hands-on, material-focused approach to art-making. This interest in woodcraft aligns naturally with her habit of making custom float frames for her paintings - often using Tasmanian Hardwood, which reflect the same attention to detail as the canvases they cradle.
